Greck was retained by the structural engineer to assist in the design of two culverts in the Town of Halton Hills.

Greck undertook a hydrologic and hydraulic assessment to determine the preferred culvert designs.  Considerations for reducing flood hazard and erosion were incorporated as part of the preferred design, including upstream and downstream channel alteration designs.  Floodplain mapping was provided in support of the new crossings prepared by the structural engineer.

Greck worked with all involved stakeholders including the Town of Halton Hills and the Credit Valley Conservation Authority to address hydraulic and natural channel requirements. Deliverables included detailed design drawings as well as a design brief summarizing the hydrology and hydraulic analysis and related floodplain mapping.
