Albion Hills Dam and Culvert

Greck were retained by the TRCA to undertake a detailed assessment to support the removal of a dam, new culvert crossing and natural channel design at the Albion Hills Conservation Area. A detailed hydraulic and hydrologic analysis was completed to assess existing and future conditions of the dam, the new culvert infrastructure as well as the associated impacts to stream erosion and channel stability. Detail design drawings were provided for a new vehicle and pedestrian crossing and proposed channel in accordance with municipal and conservation authority standards and guidelines. Greck later provided construction inspection services. Greck worked together with the project team including a fluvial geomorphologist, geotechnical engineer, structural engineer and the Conservation Authority.
